Ernest Nuamah shares excitement after ‘dream’ Black Stars debut

Nordsjaelland forward Ernest Nuamah has expressed his delight after making his Black Stars debut against Madagascar on Sunday.

The 19-year-old came off the bench replacing Kamaldeen Sulemana in the 62nd minute as Ghana were held to a scoreless draw at the Mahamasina Municipal Stadium.

Nuamah showed confidence as soon as he was introduced and displaced his remarkable pace and dribbling abilities earning praise from many fans after the fame.

He took to his Twitter handle to thank authorities for the opportunity while pledging to do more in the future.

“From dreams to reality. Beyond blessed to make my debut for Ghana. It’s a calling, a heritage, a passion. Embracing every step of this dream through the ups and downs. Grateful for this opportunity and thankful for this journey. Ready to give my all for Ghana,” wrote the teen sensation on social media.

The talented winger’s outstanding performances saw him make the list for the European Golden Boy award. He scored 15 goals and provided four assists as Nordsjaelland placed second in the just-ended season.

Despite missing out on the league title he bagged three awards in the Danish Super League as he was voted the Danish Superliga Player of the Year by the league’s jury, Spring Best Player by the Superliga head coaches and Player of the Year by the Superliga players.

He has joined the Ghana U-23 side who will kick start their U-23 AFCON campaign on Sunday against Congo.

Nuamah who played a crucial role in the team’s qualification will aim to help them end their 20-year absence from the Olympic Games by finishing in the first three to qualify for the global event next year.
