Musah Nuhu has become the first casualty of Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations pre-tournament camping after an injury in training ruled him out of the tournament. The former WAFA defender, who recently signed for Swiss giants Saint Gallen, picked up the knee injury in training on Wednesday morning as he collapsed to the ground before being helped by the medical team. Tests later in Abu Dhabi proved he would be unable to make the cut for the competition, which begins in Egypt on June 21, 2019. He is due to return to Switzerland on Friday for further assessment and treatment but there are already fears he could be out for as long as six months with an anterior cruciate ligament injury. It would be a huge blow for the 22-year-old, who had been tipped to break into the final 23-man squad for the tournament. Now, he would have to watch from home and hope he would get another opportunity soon with the Black Stars. By Michael Oti Adjei|editors.3news.com|Abu Dhabi, UAE
