CAS adjourns verdict hearing in Wilfred Osei Palmer Vrs GFA case

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has adjourned the verdict on the case between Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer and the Ghana Football Association (GFA). Osei Palmer was disqualified from the GFA presidential elections by the then governing body of Ghana football, the Normalisation Committee, shortly before the polls. This was due to his refusal to pay Joseph Paintsil 10 per cent commission on his transfer to the GFA as well as his statements about the GFA on unclassified payments. He was later asked to submit an apology letter to the Committee. The Tema Youth owner subsequently filed a protest at CAS seeking justice. But with the verdict set to be heard on Friday, July 17, CAS has announced it will rather make a pronouncement on Tuesday, August 4. Should the verdict favour Osei Kwaku, the GFA elections held in October, 2019 would be annulled and a new election held with Osei Kwaku taking part in it. By Thierry Nyann|editors.3news.com|Ghana
