CAF Women's CL Qualifiers: Hasaacas Ladies through to semis

Hasaacas Ladies thumped AS Police Niamey 3-0 in the final group game of the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU Zone B qualifier at the Robert Champroux Stadium to book their semi final ticket.

Hasmal bounced back from a 0-2 defeat in their opening game against River Angels United to beat AS Police.

After missing a handful of goalscoring opportunities, Hasaacas Ladies took the lead in the 22nd minute through Doris Boaduwaa, who pounced on a defensive error by the Nigeriens.

Grace Banwa Boadu kept Hasaacas Ladies in the game after denying Aishatu Naa Simpson from the spot.

Milot Pokuaa with few minutes to the end of the first half doubled Hasmal’s lead to put them in a comfortable lead to qualify.

The Ghana Women’s Premier League Champions continued stronger in the second half and got their third on the night.

Milot Pokuaa was set through by a Doris Boaduwaa pass and she cooly slotted it home to complete the thumping for Hasaacas Ladies.

Janet Egyir’s heroics saw her named the Woman of the Match.

The win qualifies Hasaacas Ladies to the semi-finals of the tournament and are one win away from qualifying to the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt.
