CAF Awards: Hasaacas Ladies make final three for Women’s Club of the Year
Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies are among the final three CAF Awards 2022 nominees for Women’s Club of the Year.
The Sekondi club were outstanding and deserved to be considered for the top award.
In the 2020/21 season, Hasaacas Ladies dominated the local scene, winning both the Women’s Premier League and the FA Cup.
They also won the WAFU B tournament before excelling in the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt. They reached the final but were defeated by Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, who also made the final three.
AS FAR (Morocco), who finished third in the tournament, complete the list.
Doris Boaduwaa and Evelyn Badu, who both played starring roles for Hasaacas Ladies, are among three final nominees for Women’s Young Player, while Badu is nominated for Women’s Interclub Player of the Year.
The awards will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 19:00 GMT in Rabat, Morocco.
