Tyson Fury has labelled Oleksandr Usyk as too small to compete with him in their undisputed heavyweight world title fight.
Fury, who is the WBC champion will come up against Usyk who holds the WBA, WBO and IBF belts and ahead of the much-anticipated bout, the WBC champion Fury has cautioned the Ukrainian.
Fury during the fight’s press conference said the former cruiserweight champion Usyk will be “found wanting” when the fight kicks off on 18 May in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
“You can beat the average big ones but you can’t beat the elite big ones, Size is what really matters and we have weight divisions for a reason,” he said
Although Fury, ended the news conference by joking that Usyk would knock him out in the first round the WBC champion believes it is within his right to grasp a win against Usyk.

“If Tyson Fury can’t beat Usyk, Tyson’s no good. End of, this is my time, my destiny, my era and my generation. Facts,” he added
Fury-Usyk will be the first time in the four-belt era that every title is on the line. The fight was scheduled for February but was rescheduled after Fury suffered a cut in a freak sparring accident two weeks before the fight. It is therefore slated to happen on Saturday, May 18, 2024.
