Bofoakwa Tano have become the latest Ghana Premier League club to terminate the contract of their coach, as the club announced the sacking of Frimpong Manso due to poor results, with the newly promoted side securing just one win in their last five matches.

They follow in the footsteps of Hearts of Oak, who sacked Martin Koopman earlier this month.

Bofoakwa Tano have also dismissed assistant coach Isaac Kofi Sarfo, as the club seek a new technical direction while trailing five points behind league leaders Aduana FC. Despite their current position in sixth, Bofoakwa Tano, making their return to the league after 16 years, believe they have the quality to be in a better standing and are discontent with their recent results, prompting the latest decision.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to both coaches for their valuable contributions and dedication to our club. We wish them the very best in their future endeavours. We thank our teeming fans for their continued support and look forward to exciting times ahead,” the statement read.

Bofoakwa Tano have the opportunity to appoint a new coach before their next game as they will not be in action this weekend. The scheduled match against Dreams FC has been postponed because the Dawu-based club has travelled to Tunisia for a CAF Confederation Cup clash against Club Africain.

Meanwhile, Bofoakwa Tano are serving a temporary ban at their Sunyani Coronation Park due to crowd violence in their 0-0 draw against Nsoatreman FC last Sunday. This incident led to Nsoatreman coach Maxwell Konadu being hospitalised.
