The Black Satellites beat Benin 4-2 on aggregate to qualifyGhana’s Black Satellites booked a ticket to join seven other African U-20 sides for the 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations. Ghana’s 1-1 draw with their Beninois counterparts in Cotonou over the weekend was enough to see the national U-20 team through on a 4-2 aggregate win. Already, six teams had qualified through home-and-away encounters for the tournament to be hosted in Niger. Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Senegal and Mali are among these six. The rest are Burundi and South Africa. Ghana and Benin, thus, battled for the final spot for the eight-team tourney and it was the three-time champions who triumphed. The draw for the tournament, which comes off between February 24 and March 10, 2019, is expected to be held soon. The eight qualified teams will be drawn in two groups of four with the hosts, Niger, in Group A and the best qualified side heading Group B. The semi-finalists in that tournament will make it to the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup to be hosted in Poland. Source: editors.3news.com|GhanaFollow @3Newsgh
