Black Galaxies to face Egypt’s Al Ahly ahead of CHAN

As part of their preparations for the 2023 African Nations Championship (CHAN) competition, the Black Galaxies will take on Egyptian powerhouses Al Ahly on Saturday, December 31 in a friendly match.

The team is currently camping in the capital of Egypt, Cairo and are taking advantage of friendly matches to keep them in shape for the tournament.

The Black Galaxies will go into the game from the back of a win over Egypt U-20 side last Tuesday at the Cairo International Stadium. Annor Walker’s side got the victory thanks to Legon Cities striker Kofi Kordzi and Dreams FC’s Sylvester Simba’s strikes.

Ghana, who has been placed in Group C, will compete against the likes of Madagascar, Sudan, and the reigning champions Morocco in their attempt to win it for the first time.

Ghana have placed second twice at the CHAN.

The game against Al Ahly kicks off at exactly 2:30 pm behind closed doors.

The CHAN tournament is scheduled to commence on January 13 in Algeria and end on February 4.
