Bawumia shows off his football skills as he motivates Black Stars ahead of World Cup opener

Vice president of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has called on the Black Stars to remain confident and give their best in the 2022 World Cup ahead of their opening match against Portugal.
Having missed out on Russia 2018, Ghana will announce their come back to the world stage on Thursday, November 24 at the Stadium 974 with a clash against 2006 semi-finalists Portugal in what appears to be a daunting task for the West Africans.
Despite the team’s poor showing at the 2021 AFCON and a number of poor results, the team restored some trust in Ghanaians after beating Switzerland in their final warm-up match against 2-0.
The Vice president is the latest to display his trust in the team by sending a message of inspiration through a video posted earlier on his Facebook timeline.
The video began with the politician showing off some exciting football skills before settling to share his message.
“The moment has come for the black stars to take on the world. We have a group of talented players who have been selected and they cannot be intimidated by anyone. I want to urge the Black Stars to go on and play their hearts out for mother Ghana. We can stand the world. We have done it before and we can do it again. They should go out and emulate the historic deeds of their predecessors. God bless you all. You can do it. GO GHANA GO! GO BLACK STARS GO!” He said.

Aside from Portugal, the Black Stars also have to deal with South Korea and Uruguay in group H to be assured of a round of 16 place.
