Andre Ayew has hailed Nottingham Forest fans for their warm reception during his debut on Sunday at the City Grounds.

Ayew made a brief but impactful appearance against Leeds United in the Premier League on Sunday. His contributions helped secure a 1-0 victory for Nottingham, putting them six points ahead of the relegation zone.

Nottingham manager Steve Cooper trusted the newly acquired forward, who joined the club on a free transfer, to make his debut after just a few days of training. Ayew’s performance offered a preview of what fans can expect from him in the future.

According to Sofascore, Ayew was effective in the limited time he was on the field, making one clearance, winning one aerial duel, and coming out on top in one ground duel.

After the game, the 33-year-old wrote on his Instagram page, “Three points and great team spirit, my debut in our stadium with our unbelievable fans. We keep going!”

Ayew signed a deal until the end of the season after leaving Qatari club Al Sadd, where he scored 22 goals in 39 games and won the domestic double in a season and a half.
