Ghana’s Zinabu Issah Wins Silver at WPA 2025 Marrakech Grand Prix

Ghana’s Zinabu Issah secured her second medal at the World Para Athletics (WPA) 2025 Marrakech Grand Prix, winning silver in the Women’s F57 Shot Put with a throw of 8.54 meters.

She narrowly missed gold, which was claimed by Nigeria’s athlete with a throw of 8.94 meters.

Issah’s strong performance further cements her status as one of Africa’s top para-athletes in field events.

She is now close to qualifying for the WPA 2025 World Championships and the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

To strengthen her qualification chances, Issah plans to compete in upcoming WPA events, including the WPA Paris 2025 Grand Prix and the All-Women WPA 2025 Grand Prix in the Czech Republic
