Ghana captain, Andre Ayew, and his teammates will remain in the Championship after Swansea lost 3-2 to Brentford on aggregate in the play-offs. The Swans had a 1-0 goal advantage before going into the game but failed to capitalize on it at Griffin Park. Watkins put Brentford in the lead just 11 minutes into the game and Marcondes’ header four minutes later, gave the Bees the advantage. Brentford finally nailed Swansea when Mbuemo made it three in the 46th minute. Brewster pulled one back for Swansea in the 78th minute but it was too late in the day. The Bees will head to Wembley and wait for the winner between Fulham and Cardiff City. Swansea was hoping to make a return into the Premier League after they were relegated at the end of the 2017/2018 season. Brentford on the other hand, are one step closer to gaining promotion to the Premier League after their 73-year absence. By Sakyibea Ofori|Contributor|Ghana]]>
