Ghana will resume their AFCON 2021 qualifiers in November 2020 after CAF, Africa’s football governing body, detailed plans for the resumption of the qualifiers for the AFCON and the group stage matches for the World Cup 2022.

CAF say the participating teams will engage in double-headers from November 2020 through to November 2021 for spots in the AFCON tournament and the World Cup.

The AFCON qualifiers restart on November 9-17 2020 while the final two ties will be played on March 22-30, 2021.

The coronavirus pandemic had caused a disruption of football across the world for some months.

But with football slowly returning in some parts of the world, Africa may just yet be seeing a resumption of the sport on the continent with C.K. Akunnor taking charge of his first game as coach of the Black Stars.
