Sly is physically and intellectually fit for the presidency – NDC chairman declares

The Abuakwa South Constituency chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Sanusi Mohammed, has declared that Sylvester Adinam Mensah is both physically and intellectually fit for the presidency and urged branch and constituency executives to support him. “We know Hon Sly and the work he has done for the party. We always knew that he’s a good ‘material’ for the presidency, physically. But after his address to the delegates, I can say that he is also intellectually fit for the presidency. We are pleased with his message and I would like to on behalf of the branches endorse the candidature of Hon Sly,” he emphasised. Alhaji Sanusi made this statement while  giving his closing remarks at a meeting of branch and constituency executives, addressed by Mr. Sylvester Adinam Mensah, as part of his tour of the Eastern Region. The chairman also noted that NDC is blessed with good materials ready to lead the party at all times. Sylvester Mensah and his team arrived in the Constituency as part of his campaign tour to interact with delegates and appeal for their support. The meeting began with a prayer and introduction of party executives and members of TeamSly. In his welcome address, the chairman of the Constituency said a few words and gave the opportunity to Sly to address delegates. After his address, Sylvester Mensah requested questions from branch and constituency executives. Branch Executives expressed dissatisfaction about the way the national party gives the Constituency very little attention because of the notion that it is the stronghold of the NPP and appealed to Hon Sly to pay attention to them, when given the nod. The NDC flagbearer hopeful assured them that under his leadership, the NDC will adopt pragmatic strategies to cater for their situation. He also outlined strategies for capturing the Abuakwa South seat in the next elections. Executives were happy with Sly’s message of uniting the NDC, rewarding loyalty and creating prosperity for all.
