Medikal in action on the Capital Xtra show‘Omo Ada’ hitmaker and rapper Medikal took naysayers to the cleaners last Thursday when he appeared on Tim Westwood’s Capital XTra show. The rapper in his freestyle sold Africa to the world through his rap lines as he dispelled some misconceptions many have about the continent. In his opening lines on the second verse of the over seven-minute freestyle, Medikal told the story of how peaceful and beautiful Africa is. “Tell them Africa is beautiful, tell them Africa is nice, they think we are all about war, well I just want you to know it is a beautiful place.” He challenged people living in the West to stop making movies that makes Africa look like a war zone, and visit the place to see things for themselves.
