Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei has expressed disappointment over the recent chaos which erupted in Parliament between the Minority and Majority MPs during a vetting session on Thursday night.

In a post shared on X on Friday, January 31, 2025, Prince David Osei described the conduct by the MPs as “disheartening” while calling for decorum and professionalism among MPs.

“It is disheartening to witness lawmakers resorting to fighting and vandalizing instead of upholding decorum and etiquette. How can we expect their supporters to act differently?” he said.

Prince David Osei further stated that the lack of respect and honour among the lawmakers is concerning for Ghana’s democracy.

“This lack of respect and honour is alarming. We must strive to cultivate tolerance and responsibility so that our followers will emulate the same values. Today is a sad day for Ghanaian democracy,” he added.

On Thursday, January 30, 2025, tensions escalated during the vetting of Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, the Minister of Health-designate, and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs-designate.
