Ghanaian Gospel singer, Ewura Abena has explained the reason behind her song ‘This Far’ stating how she got saved by her maker after falling into a critical situation.

The gospel singer explained why she took a break, as well as mentioned some of the things she did before that and the idea for her new song, “This Far,” in an interview with Giovanni Caleb on Showbiz 360.

“After ‘Agye Me Nkwa’, I released two other albums. ‘This Far’ came last year in October. It is just my peace of gratitude to God. I went through a bit of a downhill but God brought me to Himself. I was supposed to die. I was battling a lot. I went through a lot of things but by the grace of God, I’m here so all I’m saying is that if I’m still here, it’s just by grace and mercy. That’s all,” she revealed.

She also mentioned that her new song is part of a pending album ‘Rebirth’ that will be launched on Sunday, August 6, 2023.

“It’s out together with the video. It’s a single that came off the pending album which we are launching on Sunday,” she stated.

Ewura Abena further added details regarding the upcoming launch of her album, highlighting that it is a free event with free transportation at vantage points.

She indicated that, at 5:30 p.m., the launch will be held at Believer’s House of Worship International on Spintex Road while announcing free transportation at vantage points to enable people to grace the occasion.

Rebirth recounts the story of Mary’s birth to the Saviour, Jesus Christ, comparing that to her ‘rebirth’ into the Ghanaian gospel music scene. The launching of the album features other Gospel artistes like Empress Gifty, Amy Newman, Nacee, SP Kofi Sarpong, Perez Musik, and Mabel Okyere.
