Ghanaian rapper and songwriter, Lyrical Joe has confidently indicated that the video of his new song qualifies to be in the ‘Video of the Year’ category in all the music award shows in the country.
In an interview on Showbiz 360 on Friday, August 11, 2023, the award-winning hip-hop artiste shared his motivations and the insights behind his newest creation.
“It’s the hunger to keep going and make sure that I feed the people that believe in me,” he told Giovanni Caleb after being asked to talk about what drives him.
The stand-out talent in the music scene goes on to shed light on his recent release, indicating that the quality of the video alone, makes it qualify for the ‘Video of the Year’ category.
“It’s an 11-minute track accompanied by quality video; video of the year contender, no two ways about that,” he stated.
He continued, “It’s titled ‘5th August 7’ meaning this is the seventh year and it’s out there on all streaming platforms.”
Lyrical Joe has once again marked his birthday with a special present that wowed his fans as he dropped an 11-minute track.
This yearly tradition began in 2017 and over the years, his followers have eagerly anticipated the major hit to be dropped.
The 5th edition earned him the title of Best Rapper at the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
