Renowned Ghanaian gospel artist and preacher Sonnie Badu has prophesied a spiritual calling for President John Dramani Mahama, suggesting he is destined to become a pastor.
Badu, founder of Rockhill Church in the United States, shared this revelation on Instagram on January 9, describing it as the next chapter in Mahama’s journey.
“Now that His Excellency has fulfilled the comeback mission, there is one more hurdle to overcome; call it a prophecy. His Excellency will soon be ordained as a pastor,” Badu wrote.
He further hinted at the possibility of Mahama becoming the first ordained pastor to serve as president, adding, “Congratulations in advance.”

The prophecy follows Mahama’s recent inauguration as President of Ghana on January 7 during a grand ceremony at the Black Star Square in Accra.
The event marked a significant moment in Ghana’s democratic history, with a large gathering of citizens, dignitaries, and international leaders witnessing the occasion.
Mahama’s return to the presidency is seen as a remarkable political comeback. Having previously served as president from 2012 to 2017, he endured election defeats in 2016 and 2020 before reclaiming the position in the December 2024 election.
