Sarkodie wins at BET Hip Hop Awards

Rapper Sarkodie has won the Best International Flow award at the BET Hip Hop Awards held at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in the United States on Saturday, October 5. The award-winning rapper beat competition from the likes of Nigeria’s Falz, South Africa’s Nasty C, Tory Lanez from Canada, UK’s Ghetts and Lil Simz, and Kalash from France to emerge winner of the Best International Flow award. This award adds to the many international awards the Ghanaian rapper has to his credit after been nominated for the BET Awards three times; 2012, 2014 and 2015. He won the ‘Best International Act’ award in 2012 together with Nigeria’s Wizkid. Sarkodi dedicated the award to his daughter, Titi who is also known as Adalyn Owusu Addo. “I want to say a big thank you to the Almighty God, to my family, this one is for my little girl, Titi…” Year of Return appeal Sarkodie used the opportunity to appeal to Africans living in the diaspora and the world as a whole to return home as Ghana marks the Year of Return this year.
