The entertainment is set to soar higher on TV3 following the signing of a licence agreement with the Republic of Korea to air some captivating Korean series.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, General Manager of 3 Group, Afeafa Nfojoh noted that the collaboration forms part of efforts to give Korean series lovers the opportunity to watch their favourite shows for free.

“We know South Korea for their rich culture, for their K-dramas, K-pop, technology and a lot more. It’s important that TV3 would partner South Korea as they churn out quality content. As the number one channel in Ghana, we are looking forward to bigger partnership with them where we could also exchange programs from Ghana to South Korea, just as they are also sharing content with us. This is a big deal for TV3 and we hope our viewers will join in,” Ms Nfojoh said.

The Ambassador of Korea to Ghana, Park Kyongsig says the partnership will give both countries an opportunity to learn each other’s culture.

“Ghana and Korea, we share some values such as family values and partnerships like this are good so we can appeal to the Ghanaian people, and we can show our culture, our custom. These are things that can help to increase bilateral relationship between Korea and Ghana,” he said.

Pursuant to this partnership, three Korean drama series starting with “Why her” have been scheduled to be telecast on TV3 from Monday, March 18.
