Jamaican reggae musician Keith Anthony Blair, better known by the stage name Anthony B has featured on Blakk Rasta’s Salaga Soljah album.

This is the first ever collaboration of Anthony B with any Ghanaian artiste and is expected to pave the way for more of such.

The song titled Barber Shop is a masterpiece of music that aptly talks about the vow of a Nazarite and how both musicians are proud of their identity and committed to their vow as instructed in Numbers 6.

“During the entire period of their Nazirite vow, no razor may be used on their head. They must be holy until the period of their dedication to the Lord is over; they must let their hair grow long.” (Numbers 6:5)

According to Blakk Rasta, he deemed Anthony B appropriate for the feature because the Jamaican has been propagating the message of Rasta and shaving for a long time.

“It was a remake of the song, which was originally made by Anthony Miller, a Jamaican musician, hence I deemed it proper to feature another Jamaican and Anthony B was the best because he has been preaching this same message for a long time.

King Lagazee had to travel all the way to Jamaica to get Anthony B to feature on the song” he disclosed at the Academy Listening Party of his Salaga Soljah album held at the La Palm Royal Beach Resort in Accra on Friday 23 February 2024.

The renowned media personality and Kuchoko reggae music legend Blakk Rasta shot to global fame when he released an endorsement song titled ‘Barack Obama’ for the first African American United States President Barack Hussein Obama when he got the nod to be the presidential candidate for the Democratic Party in 2008.

According to Blakk Rasta, it took him and his team four years to put the 20 track Salaga Soljah album together.

Ghanaian Kologo musician, King Ayisoba and Ivorian reggae legend Tiken Jah Fakoly also featured on the album.
