King Promise’s lookalike, Robert has said that not only do most people not understand why his career is being a replica of celebrity but they also find him infuriating.

The young gentleman in an interview on the Delay show disclosed how his career started after he moved to Accra and reached out to interested parties.

“I used to live in Koforidua but relocated to Accra to focus on the lookalike business. A lot of people do not understand what I do and are against me but I have collaborated with 3 others and we call ourselves 4 Kings,” he stated.

He mentioned that he is aware that people see him to be annoying and hence criticize him for the little opportunity they get. He also said that he wouldn’t give himself credit for being called the leader of the group.

“So sometimes when you post videos, some people don’t watch till the end and just up and start criticizing you. I do agree that a lot of people find me annoying. I won’t call myself the leader but I was the one that gave us the avenue to work together so I get most of the shade,” he indicated.

The lookalikes of  King Promise (Robert), Mr. Drew (Future), Kwami Eugene (Steve Quamz) and Medikal (Courage) make up the 4 Kings.

These personalities gained attention and recognition when they started sharing content featuring them mimicking the musicians they resembled.

As their newfound popularity has brought them into the limelight, the quartet have faced criticism for their choice of career whilst others have given them credit.

When asked if the popularity they were enjoying brought them the attention of ladies, this is what three of them had to say.

“I barely get ladies sticking around. Because of how I have been tagged, normally, things don’t work,” King Promise lookalike said.

“The ladies are many. I wouldn’t say they love me but I think they like the way I am,” said Mr. Drew’s lookalike.

“They don’t like me and I don’t know why,” coming from Medikal’s lookalike.
