Queen Sarfoa crowning Queen Teiya

Mother of this year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful queen, Teiya Ayisha Dahamai, has advised parents to encourage and support their children’s passions and talent.

The proud mother shared how they had to make the difficult decision to support their daughter’s passion for beauty pageants despite hoping she focused solely on her education.

When Teiya was young, she was exhibiting these beauty talents, and we wanted her to concentrate on her education because she’s very brilliant.

“But we saw that there was interest in her passion too, and she could do it alongside. So we gave her the blessing and encouragement. And she has done it.”

Teiya was crowned GMB 2022 queen at the National Theatre last Sunday and had already won a crown as Miss Northern Region.

According to Teiya’s mother, no talent should be dismissed as too small to be impactful. She noted that with diligence, every talent will blossom into something great.

“Allow them to bring out their talent to life. Encourage them so that they will bring out their talent. Every talent has a benefit in the end. No matter how small it is. I will bring light at the end, so parents should not ignore all these things.”
