‘Very Soon’ is not yet a hit song; has more potential – Fameye

Ghanaian musician Peter Famiyeh Bozah known by stage name, Fameye has stated that his new song ‘Very Soon’ is about to be a banger more than it is currently.

Although the song is trending on TikTok and has been used for several dance challenges, Fameye says the song has more potential than what is being witnessed.

In an interview on Showbiz 360 with Giovani Caleb, Fameye said “This song is not a yet a hit, not at all. Those creating lyrics and content with it are doing what they like, they should relax.”

“I love the way it is going,” the rapper said to appreciate the reception given to his new single.

Narrating the story behind the recording of the song, Fameye shared that he “was in a special moment” during the recording as he knew the potential of the song.

The ‘Nothing I Get’ hitmaker noted that the first teaser of the song which he shared on social media was half recorded in his hotel room.

According to him, after recording only he decided to continue the rest of the recording in a fully furnished studio because he “knew the potential of the song.”

“When I was recording this song, it was a special moment…three weeks ago, I was in Atlanta and heard Willis Beatz was in also in town so I linked up with him to do something in my hotel room.

“Then he played the beats, this was a beat he had sent to me six months ago but I didn’t give it much attention but he insisted we should use the beats because it was a special one.

“So the lyrics just came out because as at that moment, I was in heaven, sleeping on the thirtieth floor, somewhere surrounded by glass all over.

“I didn’t even write the song. So, after 8 bars I stopped recording and told Willis this song is a hit so I will continue the rest in a studio. I knew the potential of the song,” Fameye said on October 5.

‘Very Soon’ was released on September 11 to mark Fameye’s 30th birthday.
