Ghanaian musician Amerado has finally explained his decision to decline a feature request from Highlife icon, Barima Sidney.

Barima Sidney in an interview with Giovani Caleb on 3FM in July this year disclosed that Amerado turned down a request for a feature on his song ‘Bibia B3y3 Fine.’

Sidney explained that after sending the instrumentation to Amerado upon the latter’s request, he received feedback from Amerado that his management had advised him not to accept the collaboration for ‘Bibia B3y3 Fine’ song.

However, months on, Amerado has broken his silence on the matter.

Speaking to Joy FM, the ‘Kweku Ananse’ hitmaker clarified that he did not feel the song was one he can really deliver on, hence, his refusal to be featured on the track.

“A typical example is the legendary Barima Sidney. He sent me a song, I loved the song but I spoke to my team that I think that maybe this is not a song that I could really deliver on so I requested for a remix of one of his monster hit but that couldn’t happen too,” Amerado stated.

Amerado noted that he would be glad to do a song with Barima Sidney considering his achievements in the industry provided he resonates with the song.

“I’ve seen a couple of interviews that the legendary Barima Sidney has been talking about the fact that I ignored a feature. He should take it easy on me because who wouldn’t want to work with Sidney but sometimes maybe we will work on a song that I can really deliver on,” he said.

The rapper emphasized that he is currently working with Joyce Blessing for a remix of her new song ‘Overdo’ because he “really connects” with that song.

“Joyce Blessing sent me a song last two days, I did it yesterday for her because I could really connect with the song, her ‘Overdo’ song and we are working on a remix,” he added.

Amerado mentioned that he will decline a feature request for a song, if he feels he cannot really deliver on that song and vice versa.
