Team Adina’s Kweku Bany has been awarded star performer of the first night of the 2020 Mentor “own the stage” competition.
The South Western zone representative did a rendition of R2bees’ Bayla Trap and got the judges highest vote kicking off Ayeyi and GibiChris who were also selected for the race of the star performer of the night.
All 16 contestants seized every moment of the stage to bring out their beat vocal performances to the judges and the audience.
Team Adina brought out the fire to the stage with performances from HD opening the night with west life’s solidad, the star performer Kweku Bany doing a rendition of R2bees’ Bayla Trap, GibiChris performed ‘911’ by Wyclef Jean, and Hyndu doing a cover of Mirror on the wall by Lil Wayne
Contestants from the middle zone ignited the stage with Abyna Morgan performing “I’m not the only one” by Sam Smith, Zara lights up the energy with Simi’s Joromi, Xnaiq George doing a rendition of Sarkodie’s Oofeetso and Lyte performing Tiwa Savage’s Standing ovation all from Team Bessa.
Team Apietus got the audience wowed with performances from Sena Vocals doing a rendition of Yaayaa’s Odo kai, Ayeyi performed Kwabena Kwabena’s “As)’’, Mandy did a remake a of Sia’s Chandelier and Semenhyia did his own song titled “Prophetic Time”.
Team Edem from the Northern zone stunned the audience with some dance moves by Rhoy performing “Dw3” by Krymi and Mr. Drew, ‘to be a man na wow’ done by Ryhmer, Meghan Trainor’s ‘dear future husband ‘performed by Netty and bad baddo badest by olamide and falz performed by Obouy.
The night also had an amazing performance by Article wan.
