John Mahama and wife, Lordina Mahama celebrate 32 years of happy marriage

“My dearest Lordina, Thank you.  It’s been 32 years of a beautiful journey.  Your mention of faith as the foundation of our relationship sums up our journey.”

These were the opening statement of the NDC Flagbearer in a heartfelt message to Lordina Mahama as they celebrate 32 years of a beautiful journey together.

John Mahama eulogized his wife describing her as his “pillar” and helping to build a “strong and loving home” for their children.

“With God’s guidance and our mutual love and respect, we have built a strong and loving home for the boys and Farida. You’ve been my pillar, and as I head out on the campaign, I know our home is safe.  I look forward to many more years of love, laughter, and happiness with you,” John Mahama wrote on his Facebook wall on Tuesday, July 30.

Reacting to John Mahama’s message, Lordina commended her husband and companion “unwavering love, wisdom, and ability to balance your public life with your family responsibilities.”

According to Lordina Mahama, his husband’s dedication to nurturing his home is a testament to his leadership qualities he exemplifies in public service.

Touching on the strength of their marriage for the last three decades, Lordina noted that their marriage is built on faith and God’s love.

“As we celebrate this special day, let me share a verse that beautifully encapsulates the strength of our home: “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain” (Psalm 127:1). With faith at the foundation of our relationship, we have built a loving and nurturing environment for our children, and I am always proud of what we have accomplished together,” she wrote.

“Thank you for being my partner in this journey. I eagerly look forward to the many more years we will spend together, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.”
