CEO of Media Excel Productions, Kwesi Ernest has said that he finds the way KiDi, Lasmid and other artistes use their voices very beautiful.

In an interview on Onua Showtime with Nana Ama McBrown, the artiste manager disclosed that for him, the way some musicians used their voices was really beautiful.

“When you listen to the melodies they project, it’s so beautiful. It tells you the level of maturity they have in music. These are musicians,” he indicated.

According to him, as a personality in the music space, your voice is supposed to be an instrument. In the sense that, when performing in the absence of keyboards, trumpets and the like, you should be able to deliver.

“As an artiste, apart from the keyboard and other instruments, your voice is also an instrument. So being in that field, you should be able to project and coordinate a song in the absence of all instruments,” he stated.

The music producer gave such artistes with such behavior the title of “chopmoney abrantie”. He feels such people are able to make money irregardless of where they are.

Before any musician records a song they need to be mentally oriented – Kwesi Ernest

“I call these people ‘chopmoney abrantie’ because wherever they go, they bring money home. KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Lasmid and the likes, they are making more hits,” he said.

Reiterating how he finds what they do beautiful, he added that “They project and understand music so they continue to make hit after hit. They prepared themselves before entering the space and after entering, they have learnt that poverty is stressful so they won’t mess up and go back to how things used to be. It is so beautiful.”
