‘It is a no for me’ – Joe mettle refuses to take sponsorship from alcoholic brands

Multiple award-winning gospel musician, Joe Mettle has reiterated his position about alcoholic brands.
He has said that he will not accept sponsorship from these companies, even if they are offering to help with his events or activities.
“It is a no for me. Let me even put the faith aside, you can only work with brands that complement what you do,” Joe Mettle said in an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM, June 21.
When he was probed further, Joe Mettle said he will rather accept sponsorships from individual sponsors who may be dealing in production of alcoholic beverages but not the company or brand.
“If an individual want to sponsor, I will take it, why not?” he noted.
When asked if the sponsorship is a silent one but coming from an alcoholic brand, he said “because is silent is silent but it hasn’t come, when it comes, we will know.”
He added that a company’s sponsorship is not free since one will be required to pay back.
“When it’s a company, no matter what it is, you will be required to pay it someday, that’s how it is. It will never be free, so the money can go,” he stated.
