From Talented Kidz stage to representing Pope John at NSMQ - Samuel Owusu's journey continues

Samuel Owusu Sampah, the winner of TV3’s Talented Kidz reality show in 2018, represented Pope John Senior High School at the National Science and Math Quiz (NSMQ).

In 2018, young Samuel Owusu, with the stage name Young King Clef, released his first single, State of Affairs, after winning Talented Kidz Season 9.

He also appeared in the headlines in 2020, when he scored seven 1’s in his Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) exams.

Talented Kidz reality show has been known to nurture participants in and outside the competition. The children are groomed to be doers and contribute to society.

After weeks of rigorous daunting tasks designed to test and strengthen their grits and creativity, it’s no surprise that contestants come out as pacesetters and change-makers.

For example, DJ Switch (winner of Talented Kidz 2017) and Nakeeyat (Talented Kidz season 10 winner) are making strides locally and internationally.

Ezvene Burner emerged as the winner in this year’s Talented Kidz contest. As Season 13 winner, the 10-year-old rapper crowned his performance at the National Theater with a duet with his idol, Amerado burner.
