DJ Azonto claims he is the only person Ghanaians want to see on the red carpet, deserves to be nominated for Artiste of the year

Ghanaian Disc Jockey and musician, King Mark Kwesi Arthur popularly known as DJ Azonto has made some spurious claims about his status on the red carpet and award shows.
DJ Azonto whose hit single “Fa No Fom” has topped the music charts for a few months, believes he is the reason why Ghanaians want to attend awards shows and events.
“I am the centre of attention at all award shows. I am the only one Ghanaians want to see on the red carpet,” the eccentric DJ Azonto revealed on Onua FM’s Adwuma Adwuma with Felicia Osei “Who else comes to mind aside from me?”

The single which has found its way into viral dance trends on social media has given the artiste a new status in the entertainment industry and a sold out concert.
According to Amapiano artiste, his hit single also was enough reason to nominate him for the Artiste of the year at the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and any other awards scheme.

“I deserve to be nominated as Artiste of the Year in all award schemes. I fully deserve it. I had my own concert which was sold out. I have performed in all parts of the country,” he said in an interview.

So far this has not become a reality as he was snubbed at the Ghana Europe Awards. His wish is yet to be granted at the Vodafone Ghana music awards as the top 5 categories including Best New Artiste, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year, and Artiste of the Year will be announced at 9:00 pm today.
