The Chale Wote Street Art Festival which is currently ongoing at the Black Star Square will see performances from a number of Ghanaian artistes later tonight as part of the “Sabolai Radio Music” bash.

Veteran and hiplife artistes including Amandzeba, Gyedu-Blay Ambolley, and Mzbel—will grace the stage with their musical prowess, infusing the air with their distinct sounds and melodies.

Their performances promise to complement the vibrant artistry that envelops the festival.

The Black Star Square in Osu has been a canvas of activity since morning, drawing in hundreds of patrons who eagerly anticipate the upcoming musical extravaganza.

The festival grounds have been a playground of exploration, offering a variety of engaging activities including visual arts, acrobatics, bike display, fashion, music, dance, film and food.

This year’s festival which was moved from its original location in Jamestown to Osu, a neighbourhood steeped in history dating back to the 19th century has ignited anger amongst natives of Jamestown.

However, according to organisers, Accra Dot Alt, the change of location was to allow the festival to cater for attendees in a large space while embracing both the legacy of the past and the vibrancy of the present.

Interestingly, as the “Sabolai Radio Music” bash ignites the stage at Chale Wote, another street art festival, WOMBA ACCRA STREET ART FESTIVAL, is concurrently unfolding in Jamestown with performances from Kofi Kinataa and Lasmid
