Black Sherif dedicates moving performance to the memory of Christian Atsu in Abu Dhabi

Ghanaian singer, Black Sherif has paid tribute to the memory of former Black stars player, Christian Atsu at a concert in Abu Dhabi.

Black Sherif, 21, was performing at the Wireless Festival held in Abu Dhabi when he took the opportunity to eulogize the footballer who died tragically in an earthquake that hit parts of  Turkey and Syria last month.

In a video shared on the “Kwaku The Traveler” crooner’s social media pages, the artiste is seen performing Redemption Song by Bob Marley and the Wailers to an elated crowd .

Words including “Rest In Peace”, “Gone but not forgotten”, “Atsu 8”, and the image of Christian Atsu were displayed on a giant LED screen as he performed on Saturday, 11th March at the Etihad Park, Yas Island.

Born Mohammed Ismail Sherif, the award winning artiste who is critically acclaimed for his distinctive voice and storytelling abilities joins the likes of Fameye and gospel musician Grace Ashley who have used their music in honoring the late footballer.
