Celebrated highlife singer Ofori Amponsah has confirmed publicly his relationship with socialite and entrepreneur, Ayisha Modi whom he shares a 17-year-old child.
Ofori Amponsah affirmed their connection during a recent interview on Accra FM, stating, “She is really my wife.”
When questioned about the nature of their relationship, the ‘Otoolege’ hitmaker acknowledged that they had experienced multiple breakups and reconciliations, which he deemed as normal.
“We are still together. We have broken up and made up several times, which is normal but we are still together,” Ofori Amponsah said on radio
As the conversation continued, a listener chimed in, confirming that Ofori Amponsah and Ayisha Modi had indeed lived together as a couple in Sowutuom.
In response to the listener’s remark, the singer affirmed its truth, saying, “Yeah, it is true. Then he really knows.”
This is however a clear contradiction to what Ayisha Modi revealed in a series of social media posts about her marital status.

According to Ayisha, she is currently the third wife of Abbas Giwa Sariki, a chief in Sowuotuom and the godfather of Dancehall singer, Shatta Wale
Prior to Ofori Amponsah’s public statement, Ayisha Modi, in an earlier interview with Delay, disclosed that she had married the highlife singer at the tender age of 18, emphasizing their enduring bond.
She further disclosed that she and Ofori Amponsah had faced their fair share of ups and downs, with their marriage ultimately ending in 2012.
“I got married to Ofori Amponsah at age 18 when I had my first child, who is currently 16 years old. This marriage lasted for a few years, and after that, we reunited as friends, and I also helped him on a few of his projects,” Ayisha Modi candidly shared.
The public’s curiosity surrounding Ofori Amponsah and Ayisha Modi’s relationship has reached new heights with these fresh revelations.
