Guinness World Record: Sharon Dede Padiki’s paint-a-thon enters Day 3

Artist, Sharon Dede Padiki’s attempt for the longest painting marathon by an individual has entered day three of her seven-day attempt.

The award-winning artist aims to etch her name in the GWR by painting for 168 hours to surpass the current record of 100 hours.

She’s already done some 72 hours and expected to conclude on Thursday, March 21.

The painting marathon is ongoing at the Accra Tourism Information Centre, opposite Afrikiko, near the presidential palace, Golden Jubilee House.

The current record for the longest painting marathon is held by Chancellor Ahaghotu, a Nigerian who undertook the painting marathon in Atlanta, Georgia, USA for 100 hours from October 26 to October 30,2023.

Padiki’s artistic footprint spans various mediums, with her works adorning prestigious locations such as luxury hotels, museums, galleries, and exhibitions throughout Ghana.

Notable venues include the Rock City Hotel in Nkwatia, La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, among others.
