Songstress, Eshun[/caption] Songstress, Ethel Esi Eshun known in showbiz as Eshun has stated that she was once approached by a spiritualist (mallam) with an offer to make her popular and get her to be on top of her career, but she declined. Speaking on Showbiz927 on 3FM, Eshun said “He called and he is like he has seen my hardwork, he believes I am pushing, and that I have the voice and everything, but I do not have the hits yet but he can help me if I am interested.” According to the Afrobeats singer, she declined the offer because she believes her hardwork and dedication can propel her to a higher height in her career. The singer said she believes people would love her for the good music she churns out. “I would rather people love me for my hardwork, and all these things that I possess that are really quality, and not for that fact that I went to do juju.” Eshun started her musical career with TV3’s Mentor Season (V) where she made it to the final and came out fourth at the end of the competition. In 2011, she entered the MTN Project Fame in Nigeria where 19 contestants from across Africa took part. She was one of two Ghanaians who participated and emerged fourth at the end of the competition. The singer currently has over sixteen songs to her credit including Fa Me Kor, Simple as ABC, Forever and Afehyia Pa. Source: 3news.com| Ghana]]>
