Shirley Okyere of TV3 Talented Kids Season 10 goes commercial with two hot singles titled, ‘Boame’ & ‘My Time’.
Musician Shirley Okyere has proven to Ghanaians with her first two singles that music is in her genes, like her father, King Pharoah of Akatakyie music group fame, who is a music genius. The young musician releases beautiful visuals for her new singles.
‘My Time’, being the first released, was to announce to the world that her time has come. She went on to seek the help and support of all and sundry, hence the new one, title, ‘Boame’, a Twi word meaning ‘Help Me’.
Shirley Abena Oparebea Okyere, popularly known as Shirley Okyere, is the biological daughter of the legendary Ghanaian music icon, King Pharoah, a member of the oldest surviving Ghanaian music group, Akatakyie. Akatakyie boasts of hit songs like “Odo Asisi Me”, “Mengbo”, “ESI”, “Siesie Oba No ft. Okyeame Kwame”, and many more.
She was one of the popular names in Ghana in 2018 and 2019 when she contested on the maiden edition of the Adom TV Nsoromma Reality Talent show and went on to star on TV3 Ghana’s Talented Kids reality show.
Shirley is currently the Girl’s Prefect (GP) of Suhum Senior High School after successfully passing her Basic Education at Holy Alpha Academy in Accra-Lapaz. Hailing from Aburi in the Eastern Region, Shirley never shies away from fusing her native language, Twi, in her music. The ever-smiling Shirley Okyere never ceases to amaze her fans as she went all out in the two beautiful music videos shot for ‘My Time’ and ‘Boame’.
