President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is in Ghana self-isolating at the Presidential Villa inside the Jubilee House, the Head of Communications at the Presidency has stated.
This comes after a local newspaper, The Herald, reported on Sunday that President Akufo-Addo had been “flown out of the country to London for Covid-19 treatment”.
“It is clearly a figment of the author’s imagination,” Eugene Arhin posted on Facebook on Sunday.
The President is said to have been exposed to Covid-19 and, on the advice of his doctors, proceeded on a 14-day self-isolation.
Mr Arhin said the president is in the country and observing the measure as a precaution and in compliance with Covid-19 protocols.
