Dancehall artist Samini has said Ghanaians put the country first by retaining President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in office in the just-ended general elections.
He noted that the polls were transparent free of violence although there were a few cases in some areas.
Samini composed a campaign song dubbed “Kpoyaka” for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and President Akufo-Addo ahead of the polls.
The song catalogued the achievements of the president and his party over the last four years.
Mr Akufo-Addo was declared the winner by the Electoral Commission (EC) after the polls.
He defeated the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama.
The NDC has however, rejected the results because in their view, they were manipulated in favour of Mr Akufo-Addo.
Samini said in video posted on social media pages that “I want to thank everybody for going pout to vote and to put the country first. The elections was peaceful and transparent.”
