Rainstorm with ‘gusty winds’ predicted to hit Ghana Monday

The is warning of a thunderstorm in northern on Monday morning, precisely between 6:00am and 9:00am.

The storm was observed over north-eastern Benin and is said to be moving westward.

A release on Monday, May 23 says the thunderstorm “is forecasted to sweep through most places in the northern sector”, viz , Upper West and Northern regions.

Parts of Brong Ahafo and Volta regions are also expected to be affected by the thunderstorm, which is predicted to last 6 hours.

“It will be accompanied by gusty winds,” the release stressed.

Meanwhile, in Accra on Sunday have flooded some areas.

Some suburbs of have been reported submerged in rainwater.

The rains are yet to recede in some areas as they have been experiencing showers since Monday dawn.
