Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta on Thursday appeared before Parliament to present the budget statement and fiscal policy for 2019.
The four-hour long presentation on the floor of the house touched on various sectors of the economy as well as plans for the full realization of the governments flagship programmes.
The minister, who read the budget on behalf of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, described it as an “Mpuntuo budget”, which is translated as “progress budget”.
