Polytank invests GHC80,000 in clean water for security services, schools et al.

A number of communities and public institutions in the country including the security services, schools and nongovernmental organisations, have benefited from GHC80,000 investment in the water sector from Polytank Ghana. The investment by the company, a member of the Mohinani Group, was in the form of donation of water storage tanks, which is providing clean water to more than 10,000 Ghanaians. The company explained the investment formed part of its policy to help improve access to clean water for all humans. Being the lead producer of durable water storage tanks in Ghana, Polytank believes that access to clean water for all humans must be viewed as a right. Quoting former UN Secretary General Dr. Kofi Anan, the Polytank Ghana said access to safe water is a fundamental human need hence a basic human right for all. Executive Director of the Group, Mr. Ashok Mohinani, has meanwhile emphasized the Group’s commitment to assisting the government meets the global climatic challenge of ensuring sustainable access to clean water as a way of giving back to the communities in which we operate. “Water is not just life but a basic human right which needs to be preserved and not wasted. Our business Group gives these storage tanks to people who have limited access to clean water in order to manage the little they have to consume” he said.
