Nana Akufo-Addo [R] and his vice, Dr Mahamudu BawumiaThe Information Service Department will on Friday, June 28 hold a photo exhibition to tell the success story of the Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party administration at the Ho Technical University in the Volta Region. The exhibition will highlight the key government projects and policies achieved within the past two years, as part of the first regional town hall meeting to be held in the Volta region. A statement issued and signed by the deputy Minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide, said some key cabinet ministers will also be at the event to make presentations. “The Minister of Education, Matthew Opoku Prempeh, The Minister of Health, Kweku Agyemang Manu, The Minister of Gender, Cynthia Morrison, The CEO of NABCO, Dr. Ibrahim Anyars are expected to make presentations on government’s investment in human capital and social interventions”, the statement said. All 18 Metropolitan Municipal District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) will also give an account of the developmental projects within their various Metropolitan Municipal District Assemblies (MMDAs) to the people of the Volta Region. Background The town hall meetings initiative is series of public fora which offer the government the opportunity to engage with the public on key government policies. The first town hall meeting was held on April 3, 2019 under the theme “ Our Progress, Our Status, Our Future” with Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as the keynote speaker and other members of the economic management team.
