Point out one SADA project from the $1m investment – Bawumia dares NDC

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has described the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority’s programme under the erstwhile administration as a monumental and inexplicable waste of tax payers’ money

He noted the National Democratic Congress (NDC) cannot account for the over $1 million they claim was sunk into the programme.

He called on Ghanaians to ignore the NDC come December 7.

The Vice President is on a four-day tour of the Northern Region.

Addressing a gathering of chiefs and people of Tatale in the Tatale Constituency, Dr. Bawumia accused the erstwhile NDC administration of exploiting the country through SADA.

He indicated that unlike the NPP, whose projects are visible under its Northern Development Authority, the NDC cannot show a single project under its SADA programme.

“We want the NDC to point to us one legacy of the over $1 million SADA programme. The SADA programme under John Mahama was a monumental and inexplicable waste of the tax payers’ money.”

Commenting on an appeal made by the Chief of the Tatale community, Ubor Yenkoso Garba, on the poor nature of the Yendi-Tatale road, Dr. Bawumia assured the people, the NPP government led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has secured and gathering World Bank funding to work on the road.

“Ubor, the NPP government led by Akufo-Addo has acquired a World Bank funding in June and by the end of this year, work on the road will commence.”

He also promised government has completed the ground work for the mining of iron ore at Sheini.

On his part, Ubor Yenkoso Garba said the people of Tatale will forever remain grateful to the NPP government for its flagship programmes which have impacted the people.
