Regarded as the youngest of all running mates, Helen Matervi was nominated by the Convention after a rigorous selection process by the National Executive Committee.
Announcing her nomination, the chairman of the PNC, Alhaji Ahmed Ramadan described Helen Matervi as hardworking, humble and discerning.
Present at the announcement were the chairman, General Secretary and other executive, but Helen Matervi was absent.
Helen Sanorita Dzatugbe Matervi, 43, is currently a translator at the Human Resource Advisory Limited.
She is married with a child.
