The donation forms part of the station’s June 3 disaster support initiative.
One of the areas visited was Sahara, a suburb of Adabraka near the Odaw River, which is one of the hardest hit communities of the June 3 floods.
Residents who had their houses inundated have been working to get back a semblance of their lives before the disaster.
On arrival, residents, eager to receive relief items patiently waited in a long winding queue.

‘This is good because not all of us have money to buy cloth and all those things. But we need the government to help us with the gutter so the water can flow freely”.
An opinion leader of the community, Richard Polo, who has lived in the Sahara community for thirty-five years also thanked TV3 for the timely gesture and appealed for tools to help them clean up the area.

“If we can get some equipment then we too we can do some cleaning here. Things like rain boots, shovels and rakes will help us” he noted.
