With barely 3 days to the inauguration of President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, outgoing President John Dramani Mahama took his successor on a tour around the nation’s seat of government, the Flagstaff House.
This is part of a familiarisation tour of all executive properties before Nana Addo takes over the reigns of government on January 7. Nana Addo was accompanied by his vice president, Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia and other senior members of the NPP.
On the government side were Madam Hannah Tetteh, the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah amongst other officials who work closely with President Mahama.
During the campaign period in previous years, the NPP indicated that it would change the name of the Flagstaff House to Jubilee House, a name that was previously given to the edifice under the Kufour administration.
When the NDC came into office, it changed the name from Jubilee House to Flagstaff House. As to whether the NPP would reverse the name to the former is currently unknown.
