The party ordered a rerun of the primary won by Mr Nortey after an Accra High Court annulled results.
Saturday, February 27’s primary is scheduled to be held at the party’s headoffice in Asylum Down with about 800 delegate expected to cast their ballots.
“We will make sure only delegates for the elections are the ones who are allowed to come and vote and go,” NPP’s Acting General Secretary, John Boadu, told TV3.
Before the elections, James Ni Adjei Tawiah, who contested the 2012 elections for the party, withdrew from the race to back Mr Addison, who led the party’s 2013 challenge of the 2012 presidential elections.
Mr Nortey, who won the August 2 polls with 393 votes, had threatened to withdraw, but made a last-minute U-turn.
The primary will be a close call as supporters of Mr Addison, who polled 22 votes the last time, are ready for the exercise.
